‘Adriana Sheri’ Clark-Rambert

My background is African American, Mexican, and Native American descent. My mother is half Indian, half Mexican from Mexico, and my father is African American from Compton, CA. My parents have been happily married for 45 years and I have an older brother who is three years older than myself. We are two of the funniest and craziest individuals. We are definitely two peas in a pod. I am married to an incredible and very musically creative and talented man named Omarr Rambert, and we have a beautiful, amazing and gifted eleven year-old daughter who keeps me going and growing.

-The way I got started or felt interested was always loving acting, because of the outlet it gives you to be free. Being that my brother is three years older than I, he was always into music, and started interning at a young age. So I was already around the business before I actually jumped head first. I always had an itch for acting, but because I was so linky and tall, I was asked to model. So I pursued my career as a model first. Doing a lot of print, and runway work, while studying the art of acting.

-As a teenager, my role models in the arts were Naomi Campbell as a model and Julia Roberts as an actress. Naomi was the top of the top for me. She was so fierce, and the best at her game. She was so free and uninhibited. And Julia Roberts for me was raw, and truthful to the art. I loved her disposition of whatever character she played.

-Being a creator is something I believe you just have naturally. You can study a craft to become great at anything you do. When you find something that you love and you are passionate about, you should do everything in your power to master that craft. Whether you read about it, watch videos, or study it upside down and inside out. Just do it! Kobe Bryant, and Will Smith are the best examples of crafting their creativity to the max. You must be willing to fight, fight even harder, push the boundaries, be strong and don’t be afraid to fail, and keep going. That’s how you learn, carve your craft and build confidence and respect for your work and yourself.

-There will always be challenges in relation to my profession, which is a constant battle, but that’s where your strength and resilience kicks in. You can’t be afraid to hear the word no, or be fearful of rejection. You have to trust God and just know that if it was meant to be, it will be yours. Nobody can take away what God has designed just for you.

-The current situation of the creativity industry in the USA is massive. California, particularly Hollywood is made for those creatives wanting to express themselves in many different facets from in front or behind the camera.

-The way I approach works offered to me is through agents. All job requests, go to my agent, we discuss and if it feels like a good fit, we move forward with either a self tape, audition or a meeting depending on the project.

-I keep balance between my private and professional life by spending quality time with my loved ones, meditating, praying, reading and making sure I take time out to breathe and relax. It’s so important to have balance in this crazy, and busy  industry.

-During current challenging times, the focus and aim  should always be peace of mind, keeping God as the center and making sure to align your will with His. Not being caught in things that take you away from that. Balance is key. Keep your loved ones close and always give your undivided time to them especially your children and significant other.

-I am currently working on a show I am unable to discuss, a movie project waiting to be greenlit, and my new reel, collecting footage from independent projects that I have shot and auditioning for some new ones. I have a couple commercials out and am constantly writing and creating projects to shop as well.
