-My name is Sarah Brine and I am an actress from Ohio. No one in my family is in show business. When I decided that I wanted to be an actress, I was scared to tell my family and friends. However, they were and are extremely supportive of my decision. I started acting when I was 19 years old. I fell in love with acting by watching others act. I took an acting course my senior year of high school. One of my assignments was to go see a play or musical. I love musicals and went to see Mamma Mia! At the Cleveland Playhouse. I sat in the very back row of the giant theatre, but it moved me. I knew right then and there that I needed to act.
-One of my role models when I was a teen was Dove Cameron. I grew up watching her on Disney Channel. She was stunning and absolutely amazing. I admire her commitment to everything she does.
– It is absolutely incredible to study acting! It is so rewarding and challenging all at once. Through it all, you are constantly learning about yourself. You change and you grow constantly. That is what I love about it. You never stop growing because you are constantly learning new things.
-Stardom is not important to me. I simply love what I do and want to do it for the rest of my life. I love meeting people and getting to work together as a team. I just want to create and help others create art.
-I have not faced many issues regarding gender. There are some things people say that are demeaning in regards to being a female, but I do not think any of them were meant to harm. The industry is changing and I think it is changing for the better. More diversity is being added to the industry and it is exciting.
-When I get a side for an audition, the first thing I do is simply read the side. Then after I have an understanding of the scene and the circumstances, I precede to make choices and play around with different choices.
-This is tricky about personal and professional. It is not always easy to make time for yourself. However, I don’t look at work as work. I love meeting people and being on set. I am a very open person but I always make sure I do something for myself every day. My Mom always tells me to take five minutes a day to just be how you are feeling. This five minute helps me to relax and prepare for my day.
-Currently I am auditioning and preparing for future projects. I am training as a producer’s assistant as well. I do have some movies releasing in the next few months and another one filming in April.
